This original 1955-1956-1957 Chevy Power Brake Bendix Treadle Vac Master Cylinder Booster has been fully restored. We disassemble the entire the booster and restore or replace any of the interior pieces, plus we use new gaskets and rubbers for a perfect seal. All boosters also come with a re-sleeved or new master cylinder. The brake boosters have also been stripped and painted to give it the finishing touch.

NOTE: Only use DOT 3 brake fluid. Any other fluid will void the warranty.

Danny, Thanks for sharing your time and great knowledge on my 1957 Bel Air! I am getting a car that has been sitting for several years running again and finding the original Treadle Vac Booster seemed almost impossible until I came across your website.

Treadle-Vac Master Cylinder

Part was installed, the brakes were bled and everything worked out very well. The part was shipped as scheduled and fit perfectly. I would not hesitate to do business with Southeast Chevy Parts again. They were excellent.

Customer - Now Friend

I have dealt with many of the so called experts over the years but I think I finally found one in Apopka. Last week through a friend I found the website for Southeast Chevy Parts and this was the start to a great experience. I purchased the last remaining item I needed for my 1955 Belair Sport Coupe - a vacumn booster which actually works great. 1. HOW SHOULD I SHIP MY CORE?

SLOWER: With Core Exchange - If you have purchased the item using the "SLOWER" option, this will ensure that we restore YOUR core and it bypasses the core charge. You will receive an order email confirmation. Please print out the invoice confirmation and include it with your core to ensure a quick turn around time. Use plenty of padding when shipping the core.

FASTER: With Core Exchange - If you have purchased the item using the "FASTER" option, this will allow us to ship you the restored part first and bypass the time it takes for you to ship us your core and then restore it. You will be charged an additional core charge upfront, but not to worry. Once we receive your core we will refund you the full core charge so long as it is restorable and there are no broken or missing parts. To ensure that you get your core refund in a timely manner, we will ship you an additional invoice along with your order. Using the same box you can ship us your core along with the additional invoice. Use plenty of padding when shipping the core.

2. WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A CORE?

You can still purchase the item by selecting "NO CORE" but you you will have to pay the full core charge. Another option that many clients choose is that you can find a core at a swap meet or on eBay and use that for your core (so long as the application and part are the same and the part is restorable). Who knows, you may even find a few extra cores that you could use toward credit of the item you are purchasing.

3. HOW MUCH IS THE CORE CHARGE?

This just ensures that we get a core. NOTE: This does not include the cost of shipping us your core since all shipping charges are the responsibility of the client.

4. WHY IS THE CORE CHARGE SO STINKIN' MUCH?

You might be surprised to know that the core charge has little to do with the core value. We have found that when we charge a lower, more realistic core charge, that we rarely received any cores. And we understand, what's the point of paying shipping for a part that's only going to get a return of a few bucks. But we are not in the business of hunting down cores for our customers so we had to create a good incentive. Since charging a high core charge, it is rare that we don't receive a core. And NO, we WON'T purchase your extra cores for the amount that you see we charge. Nice try.

5. HOW DO I GET THE CORE EXCHANGE CREDIT?

Once we receive your core, we will inspect it and issue you a refund based on it's condition. We look for 2 main things:
Is the core the exact same item as was purchased? (Same application, year, model, etc)
Is the condition of the core restorable? (No broken pieces, No missing pieces, No deteriorated pieces, etc)
If item is purchased on eBay we must receive the core within 80 days of the purchase date to avoid a 20% late fee.

6. CAN YOU FIX MY OWN CORE?

Yes, select the SLOWER option under the core exchange
Place your order
Print out a copy of your invoice
Make a note on the invoice that you want YOUR CORE to be restored
Ship the core along with the invoice to

7. DO YOU SEND ME A CALL TAG OR SHIPPING LABEL FOR ME TO SEND YOU MY CORES?

There is no standardized way to ship us cores so we DO NOT SEND OUT shipping labels. You as the client are responsible for all shipping charges to send us your cores. Don't forget to insure your item in case of loss or damage.

8. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OER AND OEM?

OEM refers to Original Equipment Manufacturer and is the stamp of an authentic original GM part. OER stands for Original Equipment Reproduction and is a reproduction of the original. It may seem strange, but often times an OEM part, even used, can cost more than an OER simply because the quality was so good when GM original built these parts.
