How does Core Exchange work?

Cores A core return allows you to return a used part to recover a fee paid when purchasing a replacement part. Cores must be returned within 30 days by mail, or you can bring it to us in-person.

Here are some tips for returning a core:

  • Cleanliness – Cores should be reasonably clean of dirt, grease, and oil.
  • Packaging – Cores should be wrapped in plastic, paper or cardboard to keep the core from shifting during transport.
  • Shipping – Use a shipping carrier that offers package tracking. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
  • Documentation – Include a packing list with your order number, name and phone number and a brief description of your core return in the box.
  • Condition – Cores must be rebuildable. Cores with broken shafts, cracked housings, or broken major components will not be accepted.

If you have any specific questions about your core, you can email us at contact@southeastchevy.com or call 407-886-1963.

How quickly will I receive my order?

Well that all depends, doesn't it? Most parts will ship out within 1 business day of your order. Some of our parts require special shipping, restoration, or reconditioning, which may take longer. Once your part ships, you will receive tracking information in your email so you can closely follow along as our special delivery makes its way to you.

Heater control valve

The heater core in my 59 Impala leaked. I removed it and had it recored. I decided to have the control valve rebuilt so I wouldn’t have to pull it out again. I sent it to Southeast with instructions to rebuild the one I sent. There was a mix up and was sent a different one. I called and they sent a return shipping label so I mailed it back to them. I received my original one a couple of days later. Put it on the heater core and had it tested at my local radiator shop. There was a leak so I called and was given the contact information for the person who rebuilt it he told me what to do make sure the area where the O ring goes was clean and to apply WD-40 to the O ring . So I did then had it tested for leaks NONE. southeast chévy was there to help and do all they could to take care of any problems I ran into. You speak to people and not recorded messages you don’t have to press 1,2,3 or 4 and leave a message. You get results right away. I have been doing business with them for years. If you need a part they are the ones to go to

These guys are great to deal with

Heater Core & Control Valve delivered on time and as promised & described. I also purchased a top window frame at the same time for my '59. The thing I like about these guys is that they actually know the cars inside out as they build the parts for them! Spent around an hour on the phone with James just going over some bits & pieces for a resto I am currently in the middle of. These guys are great to deal with and they have a lot of hard-to-find parts.
